Even though Panama City, Panama is a huge modern metropolis with towering skyscrapers and all the comforts of modern life, it still retains old world and colonial charm, particularly in Casco Viejo.
Even though Central America tends to get a bad reputation, it is actually one of my favorite regions to visit since I’ve often been pleasantly surprised by what I found there. After a two-year absence, I finally had a chance to return.
Coming back to the US is always exciting. It is a time to see family whom I have not seen in over a year, and it also gives me the chance to get important things done and travel to new and exotic locations.
Paraguay is a relatively unexplored country in South America, but it offers much to a traveler and even a potential expat because of its easy residency requirements and low cost of living. While my time in Paraguay was short, it was definitely an enjoyable trip, and I certainly hope to return in the future.
